In 2011, I was sure about taking the leap into entrepreneurship. I knew exactly what I wanted to do and how to make it happen.

I decided to import hair extensions to Spain at the perfect moment—when there was hardly any competition in the market. It was a unique opportunity, the big break I couldn’t afford to miss, and I knew I had to move fast if I wanted to succeed.

Even though I knew I wanted to build something of my own, I didn’t have a solid plan—especially not a long-term one. I allowed many things to unfold spontaneously as my business grew, and unfortunately, I also overlooked some of the financial responsibilities that came with success.

Years later, the competition hit hard, offering prices so low that I couldn’t afford to keep my business afloat. It was heartbreaking, but with a strong will to reinvent myself, I decided to make a change and entered the corporate world, joining the marketing and communications team at Nespresso.

While I enjoyed my tasks and felt comfortable in my role, I never truly felt fulfilled. There was always a lingering sense that something was missing, like I never fully fit in. Over time, I realized that world just wasn’t meant for me.

“the stress and constant rush I put myself through led me into debt.”

In the years that followed, I launched four different ventures across various sectors, each with seemingly promising ideas—ranging from an online cosmetics store to an advertising services business.

But my enthusiasm got the best of me: instead of researching the market, understanding my customers’ needs, or planning properly, I simply created and launched.

The stress and constant rush I put myself through—something I still can’t fully explain, since there was no real urgency—led me into debt. I thought what I lacked was money, when in reality, it was time. First came the banks, then family members who trusted me. My early failures didn’t stop me; on the contrary, I believed that with more money and more effort, I could make it work. But the truth was different. Only two of those four ventures gained any traction, and neither was strong enough to pay off the accumulated debt.

Then COVID-19 hit, and things got even worse. I lost clients, businesses shut down, and I found myself in a difficult situation. That’s when I had to make some drastic decisions: I took jobs as a hostess, waitress, and receptionist. It wasn’t what I had dreamed of, but I needed time, stability, and—above all—a plan to gradually get out of debt.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you fall—but every time, you rise wiser than before.

It took several years of constant struggle to climb out of that financial and emotional hole. I worked long hours while saving and thinking about how to start over as an entrepreneur.

But things just kept getting harder. Not only did I face a financial garnishment that shattered me emotionally, but just three months later, I had an accident that marked a turning point in my life. Everything seemed to fall apart—everything except my boldness.

There were moments when I felt like I couldn’t take it anymore—especially when the accident left me in a wheelchair for a while. Still, not even that could stop me.

I held on to my determination, found strength in the chaos, and little by little, I rebuilt my life. Today, not only am I standing tall again, but I also use my experience to help others overcome their own challenges.

After everything I’ve been through, I learned what truly matters: it’s not about working more or investing more—it’s about simplifying in order to amplify. Now, I focus on a single business. And while it’s not perfect, I know it’s built on a solid foundation—and it works.

If I’ve learned one thing, it’s that the path of entrepreneurship is long, sometimes brutal, but always full of lessons. And although I fell many times, each failure made me more resilient, pushed me to grow, and reminded me never to give up.

“It’s not about working more or investing more—it’s about simplifying in order to amplify.
